Employers:
As you know, the Officers' Association has been part of the MOD's Career Transition Partnership since 1998 with great success and continues with the succesful renewal of the contract with the MOD from October 2005.
In order to advertise a position with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), please go to www.ctp.org.uk and complete your company details. If you are already advertising positions with the Regular Forces Employment Association then you will be able to use your login details previously issued.
In the majority of cases you will register your jobs via the office that is geographically closest to your own office. There is no requirement to advertise in more than one regional office. If you are advertising executive/board level positions please select 'Officers' Association' as your designated office. We find that many of our client companies are open to hearing from applicants with a variety of service backgrounds and ranks and this new system will better fulfil those needs. If you have any difficulties using this site, please email: Michael Peacock or Richard Peregrine
With an easy to use system, employers can maintain their own job opportunities on line, where they will be viewable by thousands of Service Leavers. Furthermore, this service remains free of charge to both service leavers and employers, ensuring that both gain the benefit of as wide an audience as possible.
Registrants:
The Officers' Association (OA) has operated as part of the MOD's Career Transition Partnership (CTP) since 1998. However, we have now become part of a fully integrated CTP Employment Team, with our colleagues from the Regular Forces Employment Association (RFEA). Together we will deliver job-finding solutions to CTP registered Service Leavers and continue to do so from two years after discharge as part of our charitable role.
The effects of this are that there is no longer any requirement to register separately with the OA, unless you have been out more that two years.
To receive resettlement support prior to leaving you must first register with the CTP through your single Service Resettlement staff using an MOD Form 1173. You can find out the contact details of your single Service Resettlement staff or alternatively contact the CTP Regional Resettlement Centre closest to you for assistance by going to the CTP website www.ctp.org.uk
If you have not been out more than 2 years, are registered with the CTP, and have attended a CTW, you should have been issued with a password, to enable you to access vacancies by logging onto www.ctp.org.uk and selecting RightJob. If you cannot remember your password or are experiencing difficulties logging on, please call a Regional Resettlement Centre. Their contact details can be found on the same web site.
If you left the Services more than 2 years ago, you are still very welcome to use the OA's services. Please email Mail to The Officer's Association to make an appointment to discuss your requirements and/or be given your password to access vacancies via RightJob on the CTP web site.
You can be assured that the long-term benefits of combining job-finding resources, the use of a job bank, access to local employment information through the 24 UK wide branches of the RFEA and the lifelong job-finding service offered by both organizations will be well worth it.
The Officers' Association maintains its commitment to provide the very best service possible. Should you wish to discuss any of this in more detail please call 020 7808 4170 or 0845 873 7145.
