OA’s drive for digitalisation continues with the launch of the Virtual Careers Fair

Following the launch of the OA’s employment App, we have continued the drive for digitalisation of our services with our first Virtual Careers Fair, to be held in June 2017.

Working in collaboration with social enterprise, SaluteMyJob, the Fair will be aimed at serving and former Service men and women seeking to transition into management roles in the commercial and Third sectors.

With a particular focus on opportunities in project management, risk management, operations, facilities management and consultancy, the Virtual Fair will offer participants the opportunity to connect with up to 30 key employers. Job seekers will also be able to attend a varied and full programme of webinars, presentations, live chats and networking sessions.

“The OA recognises the benefits of a Virtual Careers Fair for both jobs seekers and employers alike” says Liz Stevens, Head of Employment Services. “It affords employers a cost-effective platform for reaching out to the ex-military talent pool, without the usual geographical boundaries of a traditional event; for job seekers it provides a flexible and convenient way to progress the research, refinement and job search phases of their transition.”

The Fair will be hosted on the iVent platform, a software service solution that will provide a rich and wide ranging user experience, replicating in virtual form the elements normally found in a conventional event.

The Ex-Military in Management Virtual Careers Fair will take place on June 6th-7th 2017.
