The OA are delighted to be hosting a break-out seminar at Tidworth Job Fair on 15th March 2017 with former service personnel who have successfully transitioned into civilian life.
Russ Haines will be sharing his own knowledge and experience of the transition process. Now Business Development Manager at ILM (City and Guilds Group), Russ will tell his story from first joining the Royal Navy as a sailor to his commission as Logistics Officer in 1995. After leaving the Services in 2011, he went on to work at the London 2012 Olympics and is now looking to expand into the International Market with ILM.
Nick Piper, who was commissioned into the Royal Engineers in 2005, will offer valuable insight into what can be expected for those undergoing resettlement. After carrying out various roles in Regiments in Germany and the UK, his final post was in ARMY HQ BFSAI as SO2 J5. He is now Project Delivery Manager with Nationwide.
Martin Green, former officer with the Royal Military Police, was placed in Regiments in Germany and across the UK before his final post as RSM. Upon leaving the military in December 2013, Martin successfully transitioned into the role of Transformation Community Delivery Manager at Nationwide.
The Service Leaver’s Journey break-out session will run from 10.30 – 11.15 on 15th March 2017 at Tidworth Garrison Theatre, St Andrew’s Road, Tidworth, Wiltshire, SP9 7EP.
