Gemma Wright – Armed Forces Programme Lead, NHS Employers
Gemma has worked for NHS Employers for the last ten years. She and her team provide the national leadership of the Step into Health programme.
Gemma works closely with NHS leaders, government officials and national bodies to help shape policy in this field and provides the resources to enable the NHS to implement this within their organisations. Gemma is also Honorary Colonel, 306 Hospital Support Regiment.
Leigh Harrison – Senior Organisational Learning Facilitator
The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT)
Leigh is a veteran, having served in the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer for 16 years. He transitioned in July 2017 and worked for NHS Employers leading the employer engagement activity for the national rollout of the ‘Step into Health’ programme. Since July 2018, he works for The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) in the Organisational Learning team.
Leigh will discuss how Step into Health worked for him, his experiences and roles, and future developments in the NHS.
