23rd October 2018: OA Event – Project Management Workshop – Birmingham

With plenty of transferable skills and experience, many Service leavers transition into a successful civilian career in Project Management upon leaving the Forces.

Use this opportunity to discover more about the realities of Project Management and how it has the potential to fit your career aspirations, exploring a variety of industries, roles, and routes in.

In this career-focused workshop, kindly hosted by HS2, learn more about the Project Management market, answering questions such as:

• What businesses are expecting from their Project Managers?

• What qualifications do you need to be recognised as a Project Manager?

• How can you optimise your applications for these roles?

Hear from experienced and knowledgeable Project Managers about considerations and recommendations when entering various sectors. Our speakers will represent local and national employers who understand the flexibility and application of a military skill-set, with many able to offer personal advice on transitioning into a project-based civilian role.

A participatory panel discussion gives you the opportunity to engage with HR Managers and recruiters: asking the questions, receiving advice on crafting a winning CV, and tips on navigating the recruitment process.

Testimonials from a previous workshop:

“The exchange of ideas, experiences and processes was not only valid and pertinent but also pitched at the appropriate level and delivered professionally and effortlessly.”
