If you are in your last 12 months of service or within 12 months of leaving the Armed Forces and looking to transition into a career within financial services, then sign up to the BlackRock Edinburgh Transition Workshop. BlackRock offers an exciting prospect for anyone interested in a financial or technology based career in a fast moving and ever changing environment.

BlackRock is a global investment firm, trusted to manage more assets than any other. Its clients are companies, governments, foundations, and millions of individuals saving for retirement, their children’s educations, and a better life. BlackRock is passionate about providing products and services that can help them build a strong financial future. BlackRock employees from around the globe are students of the market and students of technology, respectfully anti-bureaucratic and innovative at the core.

BlackRock’s roots in Edinburgh stretch back to 1998. The company acquired a small equity fund house and the operation went from strength to strength, as the company took advantage of Scotland’s rich Talent pool and heritage in Financial Services. Today BlackRock employs over 700 staff in high-quality office space right in the heart of the financial district in the west-end.

BlackRock Edinburgh will welcome you to their Edinburgh Office for an afternoon focusing on the industry, CV writing and career advice. The aim is to provide service leavers with exposure to financial services and knowledge of opportunities therein, offering practical insight, and tips on how to put yourself ahead of the competition. This event will offer an opportunity for participants to have their financial services targeted CV reviewed, and to spend time in a one-to-one meeting with an HR Recruiter or a member of the BlackRock Team.

The workshop will run from 1430 to 1800, this will be followed by optional drinks and networking at BlackRock. Participants should arrive at BlackRock Edinburgh between 14:30 to 14:40 on Wednesday 25th October 2017.
