The Officers’ Association (OA) is pleased to announce Colin Tweedie, of CJ Consulting, is running a masterclass on networking at the OA’s first Employment Symposium of 2017, which will be held in York on 28th June.
Colin will use his business development experience to show attendees how to become great face-to-face networkers. Colin’s practical tips and techniques will increase attendees’ networking confidence, effectiveness and motivation. The session will cover how to start a conversation, what questions to ask and how to turn the discussion into a long term opportunity.
Colin has previously spoken at OA events, and always receives positive feedback. One participant said: “I particularly enjoyed Colin’s networking session, which was liberating and provided me with some techniques to break into those closed conversations that sometime are problematic.”
The OA Employment Symposium brings together employers, industry experts and the OA network to provide relevant plenary sessions, career advice and industry focused insights for those in transition or considering a second career change.
The Symposium will provide an opportunity to hear from speakers from a variety of sectors. Deloitte, FDM, KPMG, ISS Labour, Network Rail, the NHS and Turner & Townsend are amongst companies confirmed to attend.
The event is on Wednesday 28th June 2017, 14:00-20:00, at the Network Rail Training Centre, York.
