The Officers’ Association have partnered with the University of the West of England as part of their annual Bristol Distinguished Address Series to host a networking workshop exclusively for OA members before the main talk by Sacha Romanovitch, CEO of Grant Thornton.
The evening’s events will take place in the new Faculty of Business and Law building on Frenchay campus with the OA Networking Workshop running from 17:00 – 18:00, hosted by Tim Hughes, Professor of Applied Marketing, and Bryan Foss, Visiting Professor Business Markets, following the workshop participants are invited to join Sacha Romanovitch who will give a talk titled: “Shaping a Vibrant Economy where no one is left behind – how we create a new normal”. This will be a great opportunity to put the top tips on networking into practice.
The workshop is free for all members of the OA community and the talk and subsequent networking opportunity are free for all interested members of the public to attend.
Tim Hughes had a 23 year career in marketing with organisations including Heinz, Nestle and Bristol & West Building Society before starting his own consultancy business. He then began a part-time PhD at UWE and started as a full-time academic in 2002.
Bryan Foss worked globally for over 26 years with IBM and, after taking early retirement, he forged a new career as a non-executive director.
Sacha Romanovitch, the first female to be elected as CEO of a major accounting firm, took up her role in July 2015 and during her career has worked with major businesses to deliver superior business performance. Her leadership style seeks to establish a common purpose and liberate others to achieve it, with a focus on creating sustainable value for clients, people and broader society. Sacha is a qualified coach and NLP practitioner and she regularly speaks at conferences on the area of transformational leadership.
