Understanding opportunities in Financial Services – BNY Mellon

Many Officers leave the Military to work in Financial Services, but it is a diverse industry with many job opportunities. Lisa Jones, OA Career Consultant, and Damian Jones, BNY Mellon (BNYM) Vice President and Programme Manager, ran a webinar about the different roles available in the industry.

What roles are Ex-Military recruited into?
Over the last five years BNYM has recruited Ex-Military personnel as Auditors, Operational Risk Managers, Procurement Consultants, Project Managers, Relationship Managers and Wellbeing Managers. Most of the people employed had completed the Returning Military Programme. Whilst military experience is important, it does not determine your career after leaving the Armed Forces.
