11th July 2018: Officers’ Association Employment Symposium – York

The Symposium will bring together key employers and sector experts to provide a day of industry insight.

The event will provide the opportunity to hear from key note speakers regarding transition, the importance of self reflection and changing perceptions.

This will be followed by the opportunity to hear from a range of employers across different sectors in smaller break out sessions; this is designed to provide you with tailored insight and know-how about their given industries.

You will have the opportunity to attended 2 sessions which you are interested in, these break-out sessions will allow you to examine some common career paths such as Project Management, Operations Management or Consultancy and explore areas you might not have considered, such as Non-Corporate roles or beginning a career in Learning and Development.

Choose two breakout sessions that you would like to book a place for but please note that places are limited and we may not be able to guarantee you your first choice so reserve a third option.

Who should attend?

Serving, transitioning and former officers: This one-day event will equip you with the latest advice and knowledge you need to approach your transition and/or continue your second career with confidence. You can engage with employers who actively recruit Service leavers and hear directly from those who have successfully transitioned.
