19th April 2018: Networking Event – Forces into Health – London

Join Forces into Health for an evening of networking. The group was formed in response to a growing number of Service Leavers who have either transitioned, or are thinking of transitioning, into the Health Sector. The Forces into Health network will aim to support individuals with contacts, advice and information, wherever possible. In particular, it signposts opportunities and recommends ‘points of entry’.

There will be a range of health sector professionals attending including John Lodge – Ex RE Captain. Experience in Department of Health, NHS England, NHS Improvement and London hospitals. There is also the opportunity upon registering to request an individual, or type of personnel you would like to see at the event. We shall encourage them to join the networking evening and invite the relevant individuals and teams in order for you to make the most out of your time.

The skills learnt in the military are highly transferable to the Health Sector; with opportunities in management and risk, to clinical or catering, the NHS has far more than just clinical roles to offer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some insight into career paths within the NHS, and meet with others transitioning into civilian roles. You can hear from Service Leavers now in NHS employment, and understand how your skills could benefit the organisation.
