The nationwide Liquid List meetings have been running in various guises since 1992 and have been sponsored by The List since 1995. Although the Liquid List operates as an open house for All Ranks – former and serving – of the three Services, Membership of The List offers considerable added value both in Job Search and B2B terms. At this event, the speaker is Paul Spanner:

Paul is a former Royal Marines Officer, joined in 1986 as a Marine, worked on the Det ( NI) before commissioning in 1990, varied career in intelligence and SF ops predominantly. Medically discharged in 2015 following an accident ( non operational) in 2013 at the rank of Lt Col.

His rehab included a stint with Team GB as a para athlete and was a contender for both summer and winter games as an endurance cyclist and biathlon skier.

Now a contractor at the Home Office, he has had two roles in 14 months firstly as a policy programme manger/advisor to Amber Rudd then latterly as a procurement programme manager on a large DDaT (Digital Data and Technology) programme within the NSS and ES community.

He will cover applying for roles at a senior level in the public and third sector, networking, mentoring and coaching, signposting and other charitable assistance available, touching on resilience and market worth as well as the importance of the military pedigree.
