In partnership with The Leaders Club, Kent Business School has the pleasure of inviting you to an MBA Lecture on Strategic Leadership in the Era of Digital Transformation.

Come along to hear the featured speakers share their respective professional journeys and give their views on what constitutes true Strategic Leadership in this era of massive disruption and convergence. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion, allowing you to ask any questions. There will also be an opportunity to network afterwards whilst enjoying a drink and a light bite to eat.


Nnenna Ilomechina, Managing Director at Accenture Strategy

Nnenna Ilomechina is a STEM cheerleader and one of the few senior African women in the technology industry in the UK. She studied engineering as an undergraduate and has been working in the technology, business and transformation sector since the first digital transformation wave in the early 2000s. In her current position as MD with Accenture, Nnenna Ilomechina runs the Industry Strategy practice for Communications, Media and High Technology clients in the UK, helping executive teams tackle cross-functional and industry strategic issues from growth and innovation to operational efficiency. Before this, Nnenna spent several years in the restructuring and turnaround industry, as a Senior Director at AlixPartners, working for Corporates and Private Equity owned businesses, where she focused on driving efficiency in industries heavily reliant on technology and digital. Nnenna began her career as a software engineer working for Sapient Corporation, prior to earning an MBA and pivoting to restructuring businesses and now strategy.

Nnenna will take you on a journey through her career, talk about the lessons she learnt on the way and the pivotal moments that helped her to become a leader in the technology industry. Nnenna will share her thoughts on what consitutes good strategic leadership in light of the next industrial revolution and what skills set, mentality and professional education is required from the managers of tomorrow.

Chris Roebuck, Honorary visiting Professor of Transformational Leadership at Cass Business School

A qualified economist with 35 years as a leader in the military, business and government and 10 years as Hon Visiting Professor of Transformational Leadership under his belt, Chris has great breadth of experience across function, sector, culture and geography, from having held senior roles in UBS, HSBC, KPMG & London Underground to advising the NHS, UK Government and the Red Cross in Myanmar. Chris is an experienced international public speaker and senior management coach, and is recognised as one of the Most Influential HR Thinkers regularly since 2010 by the HR profession. Chris’s legacy in transforming organisational performance as Global Head of Leadership & Talent at UBS is now part of a Harvard Case Study.

In his presentation, Chris will draw on his broad professional experience to look at what really makes leadership work and how individuals and organisations can unleash their full potential quickly, simply and easily through his innovative, entrepreneurial and highly effective new approach called I CARE Leadership.

Tendayi Viki, Associate Partner at Strategyzer and KBS MBA alumnus

Dr. Tendayi Viki is award winning author and innovator. As Associate Partner at Strategyzer, he helps established companies innovate for the future while running their core business. He holds a PhD in Psychology and an MBA and is author of The Corporate Startup and The Lean Product Lifecycle. Tendayi has been nominated for the Thinkers50 Innovation award and The Corporate Startup won the 2018 Book Of The Year Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Chartered Management Institute. He has worked as a consultant for several companies including Pearson, Standard Bank, Lufthansa-Airplus, The British Museum, The World Bank, Salesforce, and Unilever. Tendayi co-designed and helped implement Pearson’s Product Lifecycle, which is an innovation framework that won the Best Innovation Program 2015 at the Corporate Entrepreneurship Awards in New York. He is also a contributor at Forbes Magazine.

In an interactive session with the audience, Tendayi will talk about the leadership skills required to successfully transform corporates into innovation engines.
