Business Psychologist, Carol Brooks, will share how best to prepare for a successful transition.
In her keynote speech at our flagship career event in the North, Carol will discuss the psychological strategies you can adopt for your new career after leaving the Armed Forces. She will focus on the importance of building personal resilience through self-reflection and using practical approaches to accomplish this. A good knowledge of the likely emotional challenges Service leavers can experience whilst embarking on a significant career change can help to reduce stress, and help you to think about the situation with greater clarity.
Carol has 15 years’ experience of working in consultancy, team and individual coaching. She studied Psychology at the University of Manchester and, after working as a manager in the NHS, returned to gain a Masters’ degree in Organisational and Occupational Psychology. Carol belongs to the British Psychological Society, and is a Senior Practitioner with the Association of Business Psychologists. She has significant experience of coaching senior leaders and executives who are embarking upon or in the middle of dealing with transition.
Carol said: “I’m really looking forward to the OA Employment Symposium in York. It’s a great opportunity for Service leavers to learn about adopting the best possible mind-set to make the transition process easier.”
