24th July 2019: The Leaders Club – Michael Brown, What’s Wrong With Our NHS, and Can We Fix It? – Liverpool

Professor Michael Brown has been Chairman of the Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust since 2017. Prior to that he was the Independent Chair of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity, one of the largest national children’s hospital treating more than 270,000 children annually.

During Professor Brown’s time as Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Liverpool John Moores University, he applied the European Excellence Model to the whole university and its leadership and management framework with great success. This unique approach in UK Higher Education transformed all of the universities academic programmes so that graduates received both a quality education AND high-level skills.
