About Steve

Steve Richards is one of Britain’s leading political commentators and broadcasters. Presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Week in Westminster, Steve has presented BBC series on Blair, Cameron, Miliband, and Corbyn, and recently presented a major series for Radio 4, ‘Theresa May’s Brexit Journey’. He has also presented an award-winning BBC TV series on Modern Prime Ministers and Leadership. Last year Steve wrote and presented a widely praised series on David Cameron, ‘Cameron Years’, which you can listen to on BBC iPlayer.

 For eight years Steve also presented GMTV’s live political show The Sunday Programme. He has written and presented several political films for Channel Four and BBC2, and was named political journalist of the year by the Political Studies Association and in Channel Four’s Political Awards.

Steve’s widely acclaimed latest book ‘The Rise of the Outsiders’ is published by Atlantic. His next book on modern Prime Ministers will be published in September 2019.
