How we helped Mr W reconnect with his family
The OA owes a debt of gratitude to our voluntary Honorary Representatives (Hon Reps) who spend their time visiting beneficiaries, analysing their needs and providing the Grants and Welfare team with narrative reports describing each individual’s situation.
Mr W called upon the OA for help with moving home to be nearer to other members of his family. We sent an Hon Rep to visit him and he discovered that Mr W also had relationship issues.

The OA were able to help financially with the house move and also put Mr and Mrs W in touch with their nearest branch of RELATE, the relationship charity, for counselling sessions.
Now happily settled in their new home, they have made a fresh start.
