Dr Ian Clarkson
Ian is a highly experienced consultant, author, trainer and speaker with over 20 years’ experience in project management, programme management (PPM), organisational change and learning; working with organisations in all sectors.
Ian was an author of the APM Body of Knowledge (BoK) 6, a member of the Reference Group for PRINCE2 6th Edition, and a member of the Global Review Group for MSP 5th Edition. He was on the technical advisory board for the development of the APM Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management, and also for the update to the APM suite of certifications for BoK 6. Ian is a regular contributor for Project Manager Today Magazine, and APM blogs, and the APM Projecting the Future initiative.
Ian is passionate about helping organisations improve PPM delivery, and encouraging the next generation of PPM professionals. When he’s not helping organisations transform Ian reads the latest articles and research on the topic.
Lisa started her career as an Army officer, serving in Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Germany, and the British Embassy in Paris. She left the Army after eight years’ service and embarked on a career in investment banking where she managed the Listed Derivatives clients services team at Morgan Stanley and worked in Prime Brokerage at UBS. Here, she was involved in several recruitment initiatives, including graduate and internship programmes and the growth and development of her team.
She left banking after eight years to study the Persian language, putting this new skill to good use with the FCO in Afghanistan in 2010-2011. Her experiences have given her an excellent foundation in people development and management.
Lisa joined the OA as a Career Consultant in 2012 helping Service leavers through an extensive redundancy programme involving 11,000 personnel over four years. She has also helped to deliver an external outplacement programme for a military-related charity.
Lisa is a Certified ILM Level 7 Executive Coach and Mentor and has a wealth of experience to draw upon, including being made redundant herself.
