Charlie Curry, Senior Security Adviser BEIS
Charlie uncovers what working in the Civil Service looks like, where Service leavers can find their fit, and the standard selection criteria.
As BEIS’s Senior Security Adviser, Charlie is responsible for guiding the department on the security of its people and information, and for ensuring reasonable mitigations for the security risks it faces. Previously he was the Senior Security Adviser with the UK Stabilisation Unit, working in the FCO to advise cross-government risk owners on mitigation measures and residual risks for high-risk deployments overseas.
Charlie was educated at Southampton University, the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the UK Joint Command and Staff College. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Conflict and Development from the UK’s Open University and is currently studying for an MSc in Psychology.
